Worked as a junior resident/ house surgeon in Neurosurgery (10-01-98 to 30-06-98) and Neurology (01-07-98 to 14-09-98) in Safdarjang Hospital, Govt. of India, New Delhi.


working since 2001 as a SHO/Junior Resident in ophthalmology in PT. B.D.Sharma Post graduate institute of medical sciences and Research, Rohtak, Haryana.Completed rotational basic specialist training in ophthalmology during this period (April, 1999 to 2001).

Worked as a medical officer in ophthalmology in Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospitals, Ministry of Labor, Govt.Of India, New Delhi from June 2001 to sept 2007. During this period completed rotational Diplomate of National Board {DNB} (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt.of India) higher specialist training in ophthalmology for 2 yrs(July, 2003 to 2005) and passed its exam in Nov.2005. Both the above trainings involved the following fields:

  • Cornea and lens.
  • Refraction
  • Glaucoma
  • Vitreoretina and Uvea(Inflammation)
  • Oculoplastics and paediatric ophthalmology
  • Squint and Neuro-ophthalmology
  • Eye casualty and Eye Bank experience
  • Experience in use of Fluorescein Angiography etc

During DNB tenure, a LOG BOOK was maintained which records details of practical procedures and surgeries performed and seminars, symposia and case presentations attended as well as taken by me. Cleared FRCS-ophthalmology (Glas.UK) during this tenure in Feb.2006, after fulfilling the Royal college criteria of 4.5 years experience in ophthalmology.

Worked as a specialist from sept.2007 to jan.2009 and as aconsultant from feb.2009 to aug. 2010 in King AbdulAziz specialist hospital (KAASH), Taif, Saudi Arabia. It isa 600 bedded tertiary referral centre,serving an area of 400 sq.km .It is recognized by the Arab board, Saudi board and Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynecology of London for post-graduate training.Worked as a consultant ophthalmologist(cataract and refractivesurgery,glaucoma) in Centre for Sight(CFS) group of eye hospitals(45centres in India)in Delhi fromsept 2010 to june 2014. Opened his microsurgery eye centre “First Eye Care”inRohini, Delhi in july 2014.

  • MICS (micro incision cataract surgery)
  • Experience with multifocal IOLs.
